Council / Business Meeting

Thu, Feb 4th 2016 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Club's business meetings without speakers

The Rotary Club met last week to hold a Business meeting under the chairmanship of the President Mairhi Trickett.  Among the items discussed was the Foundation Committee's project of the Lottery bonus ball which had accrued £516 in total for Rotary's 'End Polio Now'.  Mock interviews had been held at the High School to assist students in the important role of preparing for interviews in their adult life.  A quiz night will be held in the Catholic Hall this Friday, 12th and teams can enter on the night for an exciting and interesting evening.  Any money made will go to financing a place on the Rotary Youth Camp in Perthshire in July this summer and the candidate has already been chosen and it is teenage High School student Ms. Klaudia Salamonska from Denholm.
The Rotary Club is seeking new members and any lady or gentleman interested is asked to come along to Thorterdykes Roadhouse any Thursday evening at 7 p.m. to learn more about Rotary and whether it would suit them.
