A very special guest speaker Golden girl Scottish wheelchair racer Sammi Kinghorn

Wed, Feb 3rd 2016 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The eClub of Southern Scotland has invited us to join them to hear Sammi tell us about her remarkable journey over the past five years and of her ambitions

A Joint Event with the Rotary eClub of Southern Scotland

UK Rotary Clubs are being encouraged to get involved with athletes who are competing in the Paralympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro in September and in Scotland we have a great competitor in  20 year old Sammi Kinghorn

Five years ago Sammi, who lives in the Scottish Borders, was paralysed from the waist down as the result of an accident on the farm. But it wasn’t long before she was taking up the challenge of wheelchair  racing and within two years was setting new Scottish records. She was a triple Gold Medallist in the IPC European Games in Swansea in 2014 and is now  aiming for Gold in Rio.

Make this a special celebration of all that is good in British athletics by joining us on Wednesday
3 February at 7pm when Sammi will tell us about her remarkable journey over the past five years and of her ambitions.
