The Rotary Club met on November 26 at the Bay Hotel. President Maggie Stringer welcomed Philip Denley , guest of John Denley . Members were sad to learn of the recent death of Dennis Hunt who made significant contributions to Dragon’s Den and creative writing projects with young people until ill health restricted his activities. His fellowship and humour will be greatly missed.
President Maggie reported on progress of the Satellite group in developing writing projects in collaboration with local primary and secondary schools. Eirian Evans outlined plans for the Rotary Young Musician and Youth Speaks competitions in the new year. Donations to Goodwick and Fishguard Senior Citizens clubs were agreed. 

Publicity was given to the Grocery Grab raffle in aid of local charities . Rotarians will be selling raffle tickets in the Market Hall and Coop Food Store in the build-up to the draw at the Christmas lunch on December 11.

A short EGM followed the business meeting. The following officers will serve in 2016/17: President Vanessa Walker; President-elect Richard Goswell; Treasurer Bob Kilmister; Secretary Nigel Owen.
