Friendly competition with the neighbouring club of Halifax Calder
Every 4-6 months there is a Call my Bluff competition with the neighbouring club of Halifax Calder. This time the Rotary Club of Sowerby Bridge is holding the competition on home turf at The Sportsmans pub in Greetland.
Just like the TV show, the point of the game is for the teams to take it in turn to provide three definitions of an obscure word, only one of which is correct. The other team then has to guess which is the correct definition, the other two being "bluffs" .
We have lost the cup during the last match and therefore will be fighting tooth and nail to win it back.
As usual we shall also have a 2 course meal with coffee.
