Lunch Meeting

Most of the members attended the 3 Swans today for the pre-Christmas meeting and the induction of our new member Mike Gilbert. President Bruce Mayhew presented Mike with his “welcome pack” and Rotary badge. Mike, who has attended quite a few club meetings as a guest, said that both he and his wife Joy were looking forward to being a part of the club and joining in with the social and fund raising events. He was welcomed to the club with a resounding round of applause from the members.
Mike’s induction was followed by an interesting talk from new member Jon Rosten. His introduction told us about his keen interest in football, music and insurance. He even brought along part of his treasured Subbuteo collection. An interesting and enjoyable lunchtime start to the festive season.
