Early Spring Sunday Walk
Sunday 3rd April 2016
I am organising another walk (with lunch afterwards) for Sunday 3rd April, for all those who are interested. The walk will start from Paper Mill Lock, Little Baddow and then follow the River Chelmer for a distance, before dropping down to Little Baddow Hall, past the farm, onto The Hoppet, then moves eastwards to Belle View Farm, past the Generals Arms pub, before crossing the A414, then northwards up through Scrub Wood, past Tofts and back to join the River Chelmer, which we follow for a short distance back to Paper Mill Lock.
The walk is approx. 4.75 miles and should take about 2.25 - 2.5 hours. I will book lunch in one of the local pubs, as usual, for about 1.00 p.m.
We should meet in the free car park at Paper Mill Lock at 9.45 a.m. for a prompt 10.00 a.m. start, so that we have sufficient time for the walk and drive to the pub for 1.00 p.m.
Would all those interested in walking, lunching, or both, please either indicate on the sheet circulating at the meetings or call me /mail me so that I have a good idea of numbers. Thanks.
