PRESIDENT'S FINAL FLING

Drinks and Nibbles in Ray and Joan's Garden.

PHOTOS BY RAY.

Eight days before Handover President Lawrie had his 'final fling' and invited us all for what he described as 'drinks and nibbles'. With Jan he actually came up with a veritable feast of finger food at lunchtime. Ray and Joan were kind enought to invite us to their garden and it was in peak form as you can imagine - see the background in the pictures above. The sun shone and about 40 of us had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Ample wine and other drinks helped the food down and we had a huge range of snacks incuding sausages, cheese with olives, crackers with various toppings, spring rolls with vegetable or duck fillings and dips, onion bhajis and finished up with mounds of strawberries and melted chocolate dip. Yummy! There were elegant waitress in the shape of Jan, Penny, Sue W and Fiona,  who also worked in  Joan's kitchen and had brought some of the delicacies from home.

AN EXCELLENT EVENT. Thank you Lawrie and Jan.
