Social and Sports

Like all Rotarians we enjoy social events together each year, some of which involve competing with other Rotary clubs in sports and games

Typical social and sporting activities include:

  • visits to other Rotary clubs
  • visits to places of special interest, e.g. leavesden film studios, HMS Illustrious,
  • a summer evening walk and supper
  • a joint meeting with another club including partners and maybe some skittles
  • participation in many of the district sports competitions such as darts, skittles, bridge, 10-pin bowling, bowls, pool, badminton and general knowledge quizzes
  • a Christmas dinner with entertainment and with partners
  • an annual dinner with our Paul Harris Fellows

We recently enjoyed a great evening of fellowship and fun with Rotarians and partners from the New Malden club. This was at Care Ashore, near Dunsfold, where a good skittles lane and enjoyable food and beer helped make the evening a great success.
