Lunchtime Meeting with speaker

Wed, Apr 27th 2016 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Towards the end of his term, our speaker was Royal Wootton Bassett's Mayor - Ian Ferries.

Mayor Ian Ferries

The Mayor posed the question - "What is it that makes Royal Wootton Bassett so good?". His answers included friendliness, a wide range of activities (e.g. clubs and societies) as well as the abilities and qualities of the people who live here.He referred to the repatriations which led on to today with the arrival of the large, marble poppy named "Forever" by the artist who donated it to the people of the Town. He completed his talk telling us that it had been "a tremendous year being Mayor".
