The main event will be the visit from our friends from Ochsenfurt at the end of May from the 26th to 29th.
The committee are working on a programme for the two days that our friends are here, which will include a boat trip from Poole to Wareham and return on the Friday morning and a party at St. Michael’s church hall, Colehill on the evening of Saturday 28th.
Hosts and guests go free, but anyone who is not hosting is welcome to join us to meet our guests. The cost for the boat is £10.50 per person but we will only charge £5, so please let secretary Brigitte know if you would like to come, particularly as numbers on the boat will be limited.
The same charge will apply for the Saturday night party, which will be a buffet style, so we will need numbers at least a week before to order sufficient meats etc. We hope hosts and others will be happy to provide a salad or dessert and we will provide the drinks. Again, non hosts are asked to ‘book in’.
Don’t forget the picnic at Margery Ryan’s on 18th June. For anyone who didn’t make it last year, her house is the one opposite the entry to Waitrose, so we can park in there for free after 6 p.m. Again, please advise the committee if you are coming, so we provide the right number of chairs and tables. Ochsenfurt wine will be available.
