Success for Barrow in Round 1 of the District Bowls Competition
The Barrow team of Wilf Proctor, Ted Fenton, Ron Duxbury, Eric Parkington, Mike Lovell, John Green and John Dixon were comprehensive winners against Ulverston in the first round of the District Crown Green Bowling Competition. Playing on the away green the team won by 4 games to 1.
They are now looking forward to the second round when they will be hosting Furness Peninsula.
