In 2016, Rotary Clubs and RHS groups across Britain and Ireland planted over 7 million crocuses. We are particularly proud that in District 1090 clubs and their partners planted 340,000 crocus corms. In 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 (despite the pandemic) we repeated our success, working with schools and community groups to plant more bulbs.
And we are still going! If there is a roundabout, hospital entrance or public garden without purple in the Spring then we want to be there!

The 2023 order forms for D1090 are available here to download, with the some instructions on how to plant a Rotary wheel and a template for a press release.

crocus order form - Community Groups (May2023)

The Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland Polio Team have secured 2 million crocus corms which can be ordered at the price of £175 for a box of 4,000. These will be sold on a first come first served basis and if more can be secured it is expected that the price will rise. The absolute deadline for orders is 18th August 2023. This year we have two types of crocus and you can state your preference on the form. Other details are explained on the order form. Crocuses will be delivered to our district polio team in September and then distributed to clubs.

The aim of the crocuses is to raise awareness and raise funds for the End Polio Now campaign. Let's continue this project for an EIGHTH YEAR!!
