Twinning Visit by Oberhausen RC 2016

This visit originally by 13 Rotarians and partners from our twin Club in Oberhausen was regrettably attended by only one Rotarian & his wife - Rafael & Esther Schaefers. The remainder were prevented from coming by the cancellation late on Thursday night of their flight from Dusseldorf. Rafael & Esther were already in the UK on holiday and were the sole representatives able to join us.

Despite the dissapointment however our programme proceeded broadly as planned with our Presidential Handover at The Royal Motor Yacht Club in Poole followed by a visit to Longleat House on the following day.  

Our guests returned home on Sunday evening and we now trust that whatever arrangments are made to meet with our fellow Rotarians in Oberhausen will not be plagued by similar disappointments.
