Bowling: Scottish Rotary Championships 2016
John Fisher, Bob Holmes and Andy Donaldson represented our Club at the Scottish Rotary Bowling Championships. We had what might be called a 'balanced' result in 2016!
Equilibrium and Fellowship at Bowling Championships.
Our team of John Fisher, Andy Donaldson and Bob Holmes competed at the Scottish Rotary Bowling Championships, played at Alloa on 7th July. Two things were different from previous years: the teams were triples rather than fours, and the weather was perfect rather than wet!.
We played 4 games: won 2, lost 2; 24 shots for and 24 shots against. Perfectly balanced!
Eighteen teams from Districts 1010, 1020 and 1230 participated in enjoyable competition, followed by the customary dinner and fellowship.
The winners were Frazerborough (we did not play against them); and the Runners-up were Kirkintilloch (they beat us by just one shot: 8-7!).
A wonderful day for everyone and yet another manifestation of the enjoyment we get through Rotary fellowship.
