Mark Garland had visited both West Fife and Dunfermline Carnegie in the last two weeks.

The Guest speaker was new Member Caroline Nolan giving her vocational speech. Caroline’s family descended from Ireland, however they had moved to Norfolk where she grew up. She had a great childhood with all the benefits of village life. Her family holidays involved extensive travel throughout UK and up to Scotland. Her Dad was a keen sailor and she has fond memories of sailing along the Norfolk coast. Caroline attended college in Norfolk studying Hair and make up, after graduation she was quick to get a job in the industry and spent the next 20 years working for the same business. She and her colleagues were very social and pursued a number of ingenious charity fundraising events including abseiling off the local library.

Caroline always intended to move to the Med when she left Norfolk, however she took a wrong turn and ended up in Scotland. She has lived in Kirkcaldy for 13 years most of which time was spent working at Anderson French, more recently she took a step back from the salon business establishing her own businesses, as well as working with JMC Real Estate.  Caroline has two loves in her life, her Bull Dog who was a rescue case ten years ago and more recently Stephen who proposed to her over New Year.

President Mark gave the vote of thanks mentioning how pleased he was that Caroline would be bringing her enthusiastic and energetic fundraising efforts to Rotary.
