I wish you the very best  for Thursday – hope you can break the Dartmouth formula.
If anyone doesn’t want the curry option please let me know and i will arrange something else.

Kind regards

Date;    Thursday 1 September 2016

Time:    1700 for 1730 hours

Venue:  Petanque Club of Dartmouth piste (6 lanes) located on the Stoke Fleming Village Hall playing field (the playing field is immediately adjacent to and behind the Village Hall and the piste is circa 100m from the Village Hall car park.

Cost:    £10.00 to include an evening meal at the Stoke Lodge Hotel (located circa 50m from the petanque piste).  Game only cost will be £2.00.

Coordinated Instructions:  Parking at the Village Hall (park on the left side as you enter from the main road which is nearest to the petanque piste).  The Village Hall car park is located on the right side of the road from Dartmouth to Stoke Fleming (A379) just before the road narrows on entering the main part of Stoke Fleming village.  Alternatively park at the Stoke Lodge Hotel (signposted from the main road).

:  Victuals - at the Stoke Lodge Hotel.  A selection of curries, side dishes etc. will be available on completion of the competition, estimated to be 1900-2000 hours.. There is a fully licensed bar at the hotel.  It is assumed that all participants will wish to have a meal after the competition.  Therefore currently the Stoke Lodge Hotel are planning to cater for 9 teams of 6 players = 54 participants.  If some players do not wish the evening meal, alternative a salad, or they are bringing spouses/supporters please let me know your total numbers attending/dining by Monday 29 August in order that I can update the hotel on the number of meals required.

:  Inclement Weather - in the event of horizontal rain the competition will be postponed (alternative date Thursday 8 September 2016).  In such a circumstance I will telephone all Sports Officers at midday to postpone the event.

:  Boules - if you wish to use your own boules please bring them with you.

Teams:   Each Club should field 2 teams of 3 players, total 6 players.

I trust this is all the information you will need to begin detailed preparation.  If you have any queries/questions please contact me via email or 01803 722670.

With best wishes
