Aileen will address the Club
Last night we were treated to Aileen’s high energy vocational talk alongside an outstanding slide collection.
It was great to learn more about her, including time in Scouting, playing Netball, Cricket Scoring and Jewellery Making, all of intertwined with a 42 year teaching career covering Fife, Norfolk and Oxfordshire.
Who would have thought a young David Cameron sat and read to some of her pupils earlier in his political career?
Many congratulations to Mark Todd who scooped the £50 top prize in this month’s Club draw, and also to a very ‘lucky’ Ken Cowe who not only took the £25 2nd prize but also won the wine draw too! Enjoy that ‘Star of the Night’ Sauvignon Blanc Ken!
Finally congratulations to all for the magnificent £57.75 raised in loose change over the past 4 weeks which has now found its way to our Rotary Foundation – the box is now empty and needs replenishing…
