The club marked the start of the 2016/17 session with a social outing for a scrumptious afternoon tea at the Butterfly and Pig tearoom in Bath Street. Around 20 members and guests met in Glasgow to feast on an abundance of sandwiches, scones and delicious cakes, accompanied (by most!) with a glass of bubbly. This was everyones first chance to get together after the summer recess so there was much catching up to be done, along with the sharing of holiday stories and other significant family events. The staff of the Butterfly and Pig kept us well supplied with teas and coffees and even provided boxes to take home any uneaten cakes. All in all a most enjoyable way to spend a slightly chilly Glasgow summer afternoon!
