Mathew Gacek - the Butler from Caerhys Castle
A very interesting and well
presented talk on the life of a Butler.
Did you know the name derives from the word "Butts"the wine kegs?
Mathew was an excellent speaker and presenter, supported by good images
The vast range of knowledge required was surprising, not only the day to day duties but also, in the Shooting Season, the amazing extra duties - including being at the Castle`s Gate with welcoming refreshments, and sorting wines out by the value of client`s fees and decorating the Xmas Trees!
He obviously enjoyed his job and the enthusiasm was present during presentation.
