At last week's meeting of the Rotary Club President Jim Walker introduced club member Jack Swanston, Paul Harris Fellow, to give an illustrated talk and look down on the Borders landscape when he undertook several flights over the countryside in a helicopter and small aircraft. The trips were over Tweeddale, Teviotdale and Eskdale. Members were enthralled by Jack's commentary when he pointed out many of the prominent landscapes and showed various shots of Hawick from bygone times and showed how they had now changed to the present. An interesting evening was enjoyed and appreciated after which President Jim gave the vote of thanks.
