Scatter week

Thu, Apr 13th 2017 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Members are encouraged to visit other Clubs during this week. No meeting at home.

Hawick Rotary Club lost one of its senior members last week with the passing of nonagenarian and former hosiery executive Archie Purves, who died in a retirement home at North Berwick and was cremated at Melrose. A number of club members attended the service.  Archie, an active and highly respected Past President of the Club and a Paul Harris Fellow had been a Rotarian for over half-a-century.
There was no meeting last week when, instead, the club had a "scatter week" and members went in small groups to visit neighbouring Rotary Clubs in the Borders which was much enjoyed by all.
