Bryan Wight spoke about World War Two submarine warfare, and Jack Rudram proposed the vote of thanks.

Senior Vice-President Gordon Burgess welcome eleven other members. Adam Muggoch reported that the club's representative in the District 1230 Young Musician final at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow performed well, but was not in the top three.

Douglas Dow reported that Friday's Bridge Night in the Rugby Club raised approximately £630 for Mercy Ships, and thanked all who assisted — especially raffle organiser Derek Hall — in any way, and the 36 players.

Gordon Burgess said that it was proposed to hold a joint meeting with the Garelochside club on Monday evening April 3 to discuss possible amalgamation of the two clubs, but this had still to be confirmed.

Bryan Wight gave a fascinating talk on the development of submarine warfare in first the Atlantic and then the Pacific in World War Two. Jack Rudram proposed the vote of thanks.

The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Ian Mowat.
