Georgina Baker:

            Georgina will be transferring to Canterbury Forest of Blean where she will   be inducted on Monday, November 20th.     Forest of Blean meets at 7.00

            for 7.30 pm at Boughton Golf Club, Brickfield Lane, Boughton, ME13 9AJ.       If you plan to go to Georgina’s induction please let David K. know by            Monday, November 13th so             that he can advise their meal steward of           numbers for catering in good time. 

Gideon Scott:

            Gideon is now back in Strode Park and in good spirits.    He cannot do a         great deal and watches a lot of TV.     Friends and colleagues at the Herne             Bay Business Club have bought him a TV and subscriptions to Amazon     and Netflix.

Crocus Bulbs:

            Bags of crocus bulbs are still available at £2.50 for 50 and Nick hopes that     these can be sold out at car parking on Saturday.

Blytheswood Shoeboxes, Deadline November 9th:

            There has been a wonderful response to Shoeboxes and Elaine currently      has 22 shoeboxes and 2 donations.   This is the best ever response and    exceeds Elaine’s target.    The boxes will be collected by Blytheswood on        Tuesday, November 14th and if anyone still has a shoebox could they give     Elaine a ring or email.

Board Meeting, November 9th:

            There will be a Board Meeting will be at 7.30 pm at Robert’s house this          evening.    Everyone in addition to Board Members is welcome but please          let Robert know if you plan to attend.

Car Parking, November 11th:

            The next car parking will be on Saturday, November 11th.

Meeting, Thursday, November 16th:

            Could you please note that Godfrey will be away next week and Pat will be    acting as meal steward so please contact her as usual if you will not be   able to make the meeting.    Pat can be contacted on 0787 9370687 or   patmcfarlane@live.co.uk.      Our guest at the meeting will be Jarle Tatt            ADG.

Quiz Night,  November 25th:

            Godfrey has two tickets for the Quiz Night as some guests of his are    unable to go.   Please contact Godfrey if you would like to take them up.            Pat and Jean are still on the hunt for raffle prizes.

Car Parking, December 16th:

            Godfrey needs volunteers for the last car parking of the year.    There is a     form in the folder so please sign up if you can help.

Opening Your Hearts to Bhutan

            Andrew B. reported that the Club application to District for a Foundation      grant for Opening Your Hearts to Bhutan has been approved and will now         go to the US where every application has to approved and processed.    It          will probably be January before we get the money.

Canterbury Rising Sun Charity:

            A joint application with RC Herne Bay and RC Canterbury Sunrise for a          Foundation grant for Canterbury Rising Sun Charity has also been       approved by District.

Chestfield History Society:

            The Chestfield History Society has produced a 2018 calendar (£3.00) and      a History of Chestfield (£7.00).    Please contact David M. if you would like         to purchase either of these.

Rotary Club of Herne Bay Race Night, November 18th:

            David Bowley still has a few places for the Race Night being organised by      Rotary Club of Herne Bay.    Please contact David direct if you would like         to go.

Master of Alms:

            Paul did the honours.

Raffle:

            Kathy won a bottle of wine.
