PRESENTATION OF COMPUTERS TO LYMINGTON JOB CLUB.

Four computers and a printer were donated, funded from the Founder President's Fund. Further details below.

Our Alan Blair was present when four laptop computers and a printer were given to the Lymington Job Club. We were pleased to help this Club using funds from our Founder President’s Fund. Sadly Pat Porter was not well enough to attend and make the presentation.

The Job Club, part of Christians Against Poverty, is run by volunteers at Lymington Baptist Church . The Club provides eight week courses for people who are seeking worki, includes compiling a CV finding vacancies and preparing for interviews. The Job Club manager Abbie Barry ( sitting on the desk to Alan's left) was delighted with the support from our Rotary Club and said that the computers will make a significant difference to their members through IT courses, support and the confidence they will be able to provide.

UPDATE FEBRUARY 2019.
The following letter was received from the Job Club.

Dear Alan
I am writing further to the Founder President's Fund Grant we received from the Rotary Club at the end of 2016.

I just thought you might be interested to know 2 years on, that the laptops we were able to buy with the grant are in constant use each week at the Lymington CAP Job Club. We are having increasingly more job seekers visit us and to be able to offer people the use of laptops for job searches, applications and 1to1 IT training is brilliant and a much needed resource.

So thank you again for your help and generosity.

Kind regards

Abbie
