District Governor Alan Hudson’s visit on the 4th October proved to be entertaining and informative.
He used short excerpts from music as a competition for members and also to evoke memories of his journey through Rotary starting with his early days in the 1980’s when he joined the Rotary Group Study Exchange and travelled to many foreign countries.
This changed his life and over the years he progressed to 1100 District Governor.
He included stories of his family life, some sad, as well as happy, and his days as a Drummer in a Pop Group.
Alan explained that attracting new members by including local people in clean-up sessions in a nearby town has been successful for some clubs and to mentor new members to understand Rotary and use their own personal skills in the Club.
He said we may see him playing drums at the District Conference in Bournemouth in March. Something we can look forward to.
Be
there not to miss it – give him and his team your support!
