Gail Trimble MA DPhil, who is a university lecturer and Fellow and Tutor in Classics at Trinity College, Oxford, became famous in 2009 for her performances on University Challenge. Gail will talk about her experience of appearing on the show and what she learned from her two weeks of national fame (and its repercussions). She will also offer some thoughts about her current role as an Oxford Classics tutor, including balancing research, teaching and outreach work - and why Classics students often do so well in quizzes!

We will be holding the 33rd Donkey Derby - a great family day out- at Burnham Park on Saturday May 25th 2024 the weekend of the May Bank Holiday

Our annual Burnham Beeches Rotary Charity Run is a VIRTUAL event and entrants took part during July to September 2022. The funds raised were donated to Shelterbox to help those affected by the Ukraine crisis.

After two years of restrictions we held a Donkey Derby with a difference on Saturday 28th May 2022. There was great arena entertainment, lots of stalls, food offerings, funfair, plus of course - DONKEY RIDES.
