These crocuses have been blooming next to the river at the entrance to Sworders Field near the Children’s Paddling Pool in Castle Gardens. Members of The Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford planted the corms last October with the help of Town Council staff. Plaques have been placed to mark the Club's donation of the corms and to raise awareness for the ongoing Purple4Polio campaign.

With eradication now closer than ever, Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland’s latest campaign is designed to unite communities to engage in activities as part of the final push to eradicate polio for good - throughout the world.
