Buxton Rotary Meets Buxton Students

Buxton Rotary Club took a stand at the University of Derby Students' Union's Freshers' Fair on the Buxton Campus (September 2007) to acquaint students about the many Rotary In Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I) programmes for youth and young adults e.g. Interact (12-18yrs); Youth Competitions, Youth Exchange visits abroad; Rotaract (18-30yrs).

Interact is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people ages 12-18 that gives them an opportunity to participate in fun and meaningful service projects, while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends.

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30 and is community- or university-based. Rotaractors take part in a wide choice of social activities, actively support their local community, raise money for charity, develop their personal skills and gain new life experiences in the UK and abroad.
