5th “FESTIVAL OF CHRISTMAS TREES”
(Fri 1st Dec to Sun 3rd Dec and Fri 8th Dec to Sun 10th Dec 2017)
St. John’s Burlington Methodist Church, Bridlington
Anticipated Programme
Friday 1st December
10-15am Official Opening by the Mayor of Bridlington supported by the choir of Hilderthorpe School
From 10-15 until 4-30pm viewing of trees and special singing by three further school choirs
7-00pm Gala Concert with the Beverley Male Voice Choir supported by the choir of Quay Academy
(tickets £5 children free)
Saturday 2nd December
From 10-00am until 4-30pm viewing of trees and special singing by local choirs/music groups to include The Angel Band and Cadenza
Sunday 3rd December
10-30 Church Service
12-00 until 4-30pm viewing of trees.
Friday 8th December
From 10-00am until 4-30pm viewing of trees and special singing by school choirs.
Saturday 9th December
From 10-00am until 4-30pm viewing of trees and special singing by local choirs including U3A Choir
Sunday 10th December
12-00 until 4-00pm viewing of trees
4-30pm Final Celebration with the “Chantons” Choir and Sewerby Methodist Choir plus favourite carols
Throughout the “Festival” refreshments will be available in the Schoolroom to include light lunches.
There will also be a tombola run by the local Hospice Support Group.
The proceeds from the “Festival” will be divided between St Catherine’s Hospice and local Rotary charities.
Around the 3rd week in September full details and application forms will be sent out to all who have exhibited in the past and to those who have asked to be included in the future.
