Club Assembly - a chance to Seize the Day

Wed, May 31st 2017 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

On this evening, Jenny, the new Portobello President, will present her vision of the club for the forthcoming year - otherwise known as "Seize the Day"

For the evening, the new Assistant Governor, Ken Robertson, will visit the club to hear the plans for how the club will progress in the new Rotary year.

It seems a long time since Stuart proposed Jenny as Vice President and then President; Jenny hesitated, but kept to her credo of always doing something when the opportunity arises, as there may never be another chance to do it - the philosophy  of Carpe Diem, or Seize the Day.

Luckily, though, club members have helped with support considerably - it's been a weird feeling being a new member one moment and then, it seems, being Secretary and Vice President the next and finally ... President!

One of the challenges (and,  perhaps, advantages) of being such a new member, is that there's no luggage attached. Jenny comes to the club with new ideas and expectations.

Now, there's the chance to develop and progress the club.  Watch this space ...
