President Gordon Burgess welcomed twelve other members.

He referred with regret to the death on Sunday of former member and past president Stan Latimer, who was 91. He was a member from 1975-2005, and was president in 1988-89. A former railway executive and local councillor, he was an outstanding pianist and cornerstone of the Oliverians entertainers. He is survived by his wife Mary.

The president also said how much he enjoyed the joint Burns Night with the Garelochside club the previous evening in the Rosslea Hall Hotel, and said that the performances by both the Rotary Young Musician competition participants and the pupils of Cardross Primary School had been very well received.

International convener Douglas Dow said that he was looking for a Saturday morning in February when the boxes of books, no longer required for bookstalls, could be moved from Lesley Kennedy's garage to the Salvation Army shop in West Princes Street. It was agreed to suggest February 10 to the shop manager. Volunteers with cars will be required.

The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was drawn by Lesley Kennedy, and she selected her brother-in-law, Donald Fullarton.
