Rotary awareness stall at Knighton Show

We set up a marquee and a selection of games to raise money for our charitable efforts.

This is the article that has been sent to the local press today ( Monday August 28th 2017) with photos to show our support for the Knighton Show and Carnival......

It was a beautiful day for, what turned out to be, a busy afternoon at the Knighton and District Rotary Club's “Rotary Awareness” stall at the Knighton Show on Saturday August 26th. The whole showground was humming, with families enjoying all the ring events, stalls and other activities on offer. Rotary President Howard Goslyn said, after the event, “We were very pleased to be able to offer families an easy way to support our charity work in the community, with a tombola for the adults, a “Pull a Prize” for the children and a golf putting competition for everyone”. Rotary Community Chair Nick Stimpson added “We approached the Knighton Men's Shed to make the “Pull a Prize” box for us and they did an excellent job. It was a real favourite for the kids at 20p a go and everyone was a winner!” President Howard added “ Thanks goes to John Thorogood and everyone at the Men's Shed, as well as all Rotary members who helped on the day, the Knighton Show and Carnival Committee, and everyone who came and supported us!” You can find out more about Knighton Rotary's work in the community on their website www.knighton.rotary1150.org
