Club Meeting - Ramble, Coombe Hill Nature Reserve

Tue, Jul 18th 2017 at 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Meet at Coombe Hill at 4.30pm for 4.45pm start.
Return to Jury's Inn for supper at 7.00pm.

Meet 4.30 pm for 4.45pm start

At the junction of the Tewksbury road A4019 with the A38 instead of turning right for Tewksbury, go straight ahead down the lane called The Wharf. At the bottom of the lane you will find small car park. There is also some parking to the right behind the car park.

Follow this link for information about the nature reserve

The walk is about 3 miles long and is flat, but the ground is quite rutted in some places where the mud has been churned up and then set hard. There are two hides from which you can watch the birds so you may like to bring binoculars

The information on the website above states that dogs are permitted on a lead, but we were told by a representative from the Gloucestershire Wild Life Trust that on the walk that he recommended dogs are not allowed.

Walking boots or stout trainers recommended.

We shall return to  Jury’s Inn for supper at 7.00pm
