Lesley's acts as Mentor to thewoodgreen School Interact club members, helping and guiding them as they decide how to operate their club and select and fund-raising for their chosen Charities.
Woodgreen Interact Club Members are all pupils at the School and they're encouraged to plan, arrange and then staff the fund raising events throughout the year. Two school events that are always very popular are non-uniform days and a Disco.
Other events take place elsewhere in the town: for the past three years the Woodgreen Interact Plant Sale in the Woolgate in spring has proved very popular with local gardners. Theirs a queue o customer who make sure to be on hand early in proceedings to snap up bargains.
Through Interact young people exerience leadership and managment of a club and fund raising events. Vauable experience that they then take with them into adulthood.
Thanks to Lesley's efforts these oportunities are available for new pupils each year.
