How we raised funds in 2019 - 20

Blue Diamond East Bridgford Garden and Home Centre to host Summer Arts and Crafts Fair

Artists are invited to exhibit their work this summer and raise money for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and Trent and Vale First Responders.

This event has always been well supported and this year the East Bridgford Blue Diamond Garden and Home Centre has kindly offered to host the annual Arts and Crafts Fair at this new venue. This will be the 29^th year of the exhibition, which is run by the Rotary Clubs of Bingham and Radcliffe and the Vale of Belvoir, and we hope it will attract a wider audience. The Fair will take place on Saturday 6^th - Sunday 7^th July during the Garden Centre’s usual opening hours (8am- 6pm on Saturday and 10am -5pm on Sunday).

Each year, the talent and range of skills of the artists is amazing and artists from across the Midlands exhibit their work. All work will be offered for sale with 15% of the cost of the work goes to our two chosen charities. Every year we have a wide range of different craft stalls where crafters are invited to sell their individual homemade items.

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, which celebrates its 25^th Anniversary this year, has recently committed to extending their operations to 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. Whilst the Ambucopter is currently on call to fly 24 hours over the weekends, the Charity will continue to work towards providing a full 24/7 service, enabling them to give more patients than ever before the very best chance of survival.

The First Responders are also life savers and as they live in the community and they are often able to help before other services arrive. The money we can raise will be a great benefit to continuing the work of these local charities.

We are also running a grand raffle to coincide with the fair and all proceeds will go to the above charities.
