A fascinating night tonight at The County Hotel, where our guest speaker was Sam Cornwell who is a Photographic Artist/Astronomer, based in Hawick. Sam, who was the UK Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2013, explained all about his brand new invention of the 'Solarcan'. The Solarcan is a solargraphy camera which he produces and now sells worldwide from Australia to the USA and beyond. The resultant images of the sun over a six month timeframe from various locations, captivated the eager attention of our members.
We look forward to seeing Sam again and hearing of his latest discovery and creation.
