ART EVENT Update - Presentation to Easter Anguston Farm VSA.

Fundraiser Update - Cheque Presentation.

What a day we had at Easter Anguston Farm hosted by Neil Robertson, VSA Social Enterprise Development Manager and his staff. A group of volunteers from the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside were helping at the farm planting hanging baskets, filling Planters and picking strawberries to be sold in the farm shop. (Ref photo3 RCAD Team = Brian Stephen, Quentin Tweedie, Graham Payne, Ellen Smith, Robert Bell, Kaare Ronsberg and Norman Patterson) RCAD President Brian Stephen also presented Easter Anguston Farm VSA with a cheque for £2,600 from the proceeds of our annual Art Evening, featuring artist Michael Samson held at the Marcliffe Hotel in May. (Ref Photos1&2 - Right to Left= Neil Robertson VSA, Kenneth Simpson CEO VSA, Michael Samson Artist and Brian Stephen President of RCAD.)

Michael Samson was at the farm for the presentation along with some of his art students visiting and drawings/paintings around the farm. Although it was very difficult to choose, a charcoal picture of one of the pigmy goats was the winner. Thanks to Neil for judging the 'Great Painting Challenge' and giving everyone such a memorable day. Michael very kindly donated his picture to Easter Anguston, which will be framed and soon take pride of place in the Cafe. The Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside (RCAD) has been supporting Easter Anguston for many years with donations and helping with various projects around the farm. Neil Robertson said, “We cannot thank everyone from RCAD & Michael Samson enough for they’re on going support to VSA & Easter Anguston Farm.”
