Rees Garden Party

The best way to enjoy a warm English summer day is a garden party with friends, Pimms and good music

On the 9th July this year, club members and partners were guests at the garden party held by Rtn Paul and Susan Rees at their home. It was a very warm day and thankfully there was plenty of shade under trees and in a marquee and, after collecting a drink, we were treated to some excellent musicianship and singing by the group calling themselves the 'Accidentals'.

After the music it was tea and cake in the marquee followed by the drawing of a raffle in aid of Rotary's Polio Plus initiative to eradicate the scourge of the polio virus from the world. This raised over £500 and there were two very happy winners of the prize - a beautiful painting by Sheree Valentine Daines.

As the photos show, it was well attended with lots of smiling faces. Thank you very much for inviting us Paul and Susan.
