The Rotary Club of Midhurst and Petworth is a member of Rotary International (http://www.rotary.org/) and Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I - see also: http://www.rotary-ribi.org/) and is based in the West Sussex market towns of Midhurst and Petworth between Haslemere and Chichester.
Formed in 1964 we comprise 36 business men and women who are dedicated to providing service to people less fortunate than ourselves both in the local and international communities. We meet every week on Mondays (except public holidays): 1st, 3rd and 5th (with partners) at 6.45 for 7.00pm at Cowdray Park Golf Club, Easebourne and the 2nd at 5.45pm at The Grange Centre, Midhurst where we enjoy excellent fellowship and plan new projects as well as developing existing ones. On the fourth Monday we often meet elsewhere in less formal surroundings. Please contact the Secretary for further details.
Our Service and Communications Committees plan and carry out educational, humanitarian and vocational projects that address the needs of the Club's community and communities in other countries. Rotary clubs exist in nearly 200 countries and territories around the world and there are approximately 1.25 million Rotarians in membership of those clubs.
The Rotary Foundation is Rotary's own charity and our Foundation Committee develops and carries out plans to support the Rotary Foundation through financial contributions and club participation in Foundation programmes - educational, health, water management, scholarships and Group Study Exchanges. In addition the club supports the world-wide Rotary programme to eliminate Polio: "Thanks for Life, End Polio Now".
