Community Projects

We intend to support the following during the current Rotary year.


Stroke Association - maintenance of allotment used by stroke victims for therapy

Peter Pan Club - provide a Christmas Party and a trip to a pantomime for a club who look after people of all ages with learning difficulties

Christmas Toy appeal - collect toys at two local supermarkets and distribute to needy children for Christmas

Know your Blood Pressure - in conjunction with the Stroke Association we hold a 'take your blood pressure' session at a local supermarket 

Taking Father Christmas and his sleigh around the area to bring festive cheer to the children and whilst doing so collecting donations for local good causes

Celebration of Music - non competitive festival of music by local schools

Wrap Up Lancashire - collecting unwanted warm coats for distribution to those in need

and many other causes that may arise

The 'Gang

Stroke Association Allotment

more The allotment is under the auspices of the East Lancashire branch of the Stroke Association and provides therapy for stroke victims. Raised beds have now been built to assist wheelchair users and we are just waiting for a delivery of compost.

St Mary Magdalen outdoor classroom

more We are refurbishing the reception class outdoor classroom so the children can enjoy learning outdoors
