Well here we are again at the beginning of a new Rotary year, I do hope you are looking forward to taking the Club forward and Making a Difference. This is the theme for us all to latch on to and relates to Rotary around the world, but can also be a calling to our plans for our local community. I urge every member to assist their Committee Chairs by attending meetings and contributing to them in a positive way. Let’s make a positive start to the new year.
For those of you who haven’t as yet looked at the Rotary GB&I site and signed on to “My Rotary” I would ask you seriously to consider this as it is here that a great deal of information can be acquired, including what’s going on, and a terrific amount of resources, stationery and other Club ideas. I would also ask you to look at our own website for information, the diary, and to email members.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone for supporting my Handover. It was a great evening finishing with a very informative talk by Lynwood Newman on President Roosevelt, who was President of the USA at the birth of Rotary.
