We all learnt something tonight as Alf told us of the logistics in organising the transportation of human organs for transplantation. This is a very time critical operation - for example a heart has a maximum of 4 hours from "chest to chest"
Alf told us of what is involved in getting not just the organ but also the patient, their family and the surgical teams together to carry out these vital life saving operations.
