John MacDonald, Editor of ‘CABLE – Scotland’s New International Affairs Magazine’

Our speaker, invited by Carol Byers, will be John MacDonald, Editor of Cable Magazine and John is one of the founders and Director of the Scottish Global Forum and is Editor of CABLE - Scotland’s first online International Affairs magazine. He holds an MLitt in European Politics from the University of Dundee and a PhD from the same institution. He has lectured extensively in the fields of transatlantic security, the politics of war and military intervention, and American politics. He currently lectures in American politics at the University of Glasgow.

CABLE is offering an annual prize to be known as the Alyson Bailes Award, in honour of our late Club Member.   John will be talking about the award which our club has agreed to sponsor in its first year launch.
