News/ Crowthorne seniors get £2000 boost
Crowthorne charity that promotes the welfare of senior citizens receives £2000

In early August, a Crowthorne charity that promotes the welfare of senior citizens, COATS, was presented with a cheque for £2000.
This represented funds raised for the organisation, which was the 2016/17 Chosen Charity of the Year of President, Geraldine Durrant.
"COATS, now in its 50th year, provides a very valuable service to the elderly of Crowthorne.
" Every year, upwards of 100 of our senior citizens benefit from the work we do. At our Centre, our staff provides freshly prepared lunches, teas and stimulating activities in a warm and friendly environment. We are blessed with an army of volunteers who provide additional support in the Centre, work in our High Street shop and drive our minibus.
"Our fundraising team works hard raising money to finance the job we do, and they were delighted to learn of this generous donation. COATS owes the Rotary branch and its Chairman a very big thank you."
