Jaipur Limb Project in Bangalore

This is the MS Ramaiah Medical Teaching Hospital where our Jaipur Limb project was undertaken to fit 948 new limbs and improve the quality of life for the donees and their families.

Approved in 2010 this £24,000 Matching Grant project was completed on schedule in 2013.

Initiated by our colleagues in the Guildford Rotary Club we stepped in when the introduction of the new Global Grant pilot programme threatened to delay this work. In total 948 artificial limbs were fitted at limb camps set up in the MS Ramaiah Medical Teaching Hospital (pictured) by the Rotary Club of Bangalore Sadashivanagar.

In addition to funds raised by Guildford, Bangalore Sadashivanagar and Cardiff Bay Rotary clubs, matched funding was provided by District 1130 (London) 1150 (Southern Wales), District 3190 (Andhra Pradesh/Karnataka) and the Rotary Foundation World Fund.
