The dust has settled.....maybe!

It has been an age since I have had time to write.  Dadvi has been very busy.  As soon as he came home from one trip, he would head out for another.  This has caused me endless chores, making sure he didn’t forget any essentials and helping him find those items, he would occasionally misplace.  We also had plenty of family time, which I enjoyed the most.

I think the dust has settled now that summer seems to be over, so I should get back to writing some news for the club.

I had a lovely 10 days staying with Dadvi’s friend Tim while he went off to Ethiopia.

He was visiting the school and orphanage which is the President’s Charity for the year.

He tells me he had a wonderful time, and that it was great to see again the children he met on his first visit 4½ years ago, and to see how things had changed and developed.

It was the rainy season, and even though it was July not far from the equator, it was definitely long trousers and pullover weather! But there was some sunshine, and some lovely sunsets. And the town of Bekoji is 9,200 feet above sea level – that’s twice the height of Ben Nevis! He went with a team of 10 from this country, and they put on a holiday club for the children of the school.

The trip ended with a wonderful two day visit to the Awash National Park.

They met some interesting people.

(I think that second one was dead. And on that subject – I don’t think I like what I hear about crocodiles...)
