Kester was born in Reading and went to Deanfield school in Tilehurst, from which she went on to University College London where she is in her second year studying psychology. Her present thoughts are to either go into clinical psychology or human relations in business. She was part of the winning team in the RYLA course which she attended and gave the Club  a very eloquent description of her experiences, with big ‘thank you’ at the end to the Club for sponsoring her attendance.
