Supporting Young People

Woking District Rotary club funds, organises and supports development activities for the young people of Woking.to encourage individual development which includes ‘Youth Speaks’, both at senior and junior level

We are particularly interested in helping young people of all ages in our community.

We have links with a number of local schools, both ones with a number of local schools, both ones with funding needs where we can help eg via the ‘Let’s Read’ scheme and also where we can support and encourage young people with their skill base eg Rotary Youth Speaks and the Rotary RYLA scheme. We have also helped with ‘Gasp’ and a number of other schemes.

We have also taken part in Mock interviews arranged in conjunction with a local school to help school leavers practice for employment or any university interviews which may take place

Rotary runs a number of annual competitions to encourage individual development which includes ‘Youth Speaks’, both at senior and junior level
