School In The Gambia

Supporting the Education of Children in The Gambia

Club member John and Angela Williams have developed a special interest in a school in The Gambia following a number of visits whilst on holiday nearby.

Desks, Chairs & School Dinners

In 2016, the club provided funds to repair school desks and chairs for the children.

Another sum of money was donated to support the school providing school dinners for the children.

Teacher's Cupboards

A second offer of support saw the buliding of new cupboards for the teaching staff to store teaching materials. This was accomplished in 2017 with the help of a district grant that match funded the project.
