We've made our first loan!

At the beginning of November 2017, Diss Waveney Rotary made its first funding through the Lend with Care website in order to help entrepreneurs in the third world.
The Hama Mawoko group is made up of five women in Zimbabwe who all have a number of children and relatives who depend on them. They are requesting this loan between them to invest in their businesses to help them grow.
Symabie is one of the members of Hama Mawoko group, which is based near Tinotenda. She runs a business selling beans and tomatoes that she grows herself. Symabie’s husband died four years ago while she was pregnant with their youngest child, leaving her with four children to provide for and no means of income. As well as her four children, Symabie also cares for her elderly mother, and with five dependents, being able to afford food to eat is a daily struggle. Symabie hopes her business will change this and enable her to afford to educate all her children up to tertiary level.
